Hi everyone. I'm from the UK but lately I've been playing on Russian servers to improve my proficiency in Russian. Therefore, I got a chance to get to know the people there and speak about the issue of European server players constantly complaining about them.
Honestly, it's not fair to suggest that an entire population of thousands of Russian players across twenty servers should be excluded because of a handful of cheaters who use scripting and other tools to win in random BGs or arenas.
I understand your frustration of losing to Russian premades but try to remember all the times when you won against a totally random group of Russian players. I can recall quite a few times that this happened.
What also sometimes occurs is that the group of Rus players (not premade) is simply very well-organised, communicates well and hence beats us. Are we seriously going to whine about someone simply because they play well? Or are we going to communicate, work hard as a team and beat them. I played few BGs where we organised ourselves and bested Russian premades. It's doable. And the feeling of doing so made PvP actually enjoyable.
How do we solve the issue of cheating Russian players? Well Blizzard better sit down and work out how to detect better and stop this behaviour and consequently ban those players permanently. The creation of mass premades should be looked into and entirely restricted. This is nothing extra to ask - it's a responsibility it owes to its customers.
But it's not a solution to ban an entire population of players who'd have much longer queues and less diverse BG experience (vice versa for EU players). I'd like you to think how you would feel if someone threatened to separate you from the rest of the WoW community with whom you've been playing PvP - merely because few of your countrymen are cheaters.
